ZTE Corporation , a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today unveiled technology innovations and typical practices of its Ceph-based TECS CloveStorage solution at the fist Global Cephalocon APAC 2018 in Beijing. This distributed storage solution helps to promote the development of Ceph technology and is built as the benchmark of telco cloud’ distributed storage.
With the theme of “The Future of Storage”, Ceph community founder Sage Weil, Ceph community manager Leonardo Vaz, senior management of Ceph foundation, top global vendors, developers, and users gather at the summit. They are going to participate in 8 community forums covering community development, enterprise application, and operation and maintenance (O&M) practices, to introduce the Ceph community and share vendors’ technologies and use cases, and to talk about the current and future of Ceph, aiming to promote the widespread adoption of Ceph open-source technology and foster a more perfect industrial ecosystem.
ZTE is the core member of the Ceph community and a leader in Ceph commercialization practices. At the summit, Zhu Kun, chief architect of ZTE's virtualization products, delivered a joint speech on the topic of "On Cloud, On Demand - TECS CloveStorage Distributed Storage". Moreover, Zhu Kun had shared ZTE’s contributions in the Ceph community and experience in the commercialization of products with all the guests.
ZTE TECS CloverStorage Solution is based on the mainstream open-source distributed storage system Ceph and features high performance, high reliability and high scalability. It expanded functions for carrier-grade applications, including intelligent deployment, enhanced storage management, optimized performance and more. It is applicable to various fields and industries such as large storage resource pools, virtualized data centers, large and medium-sized databases, multimedia video data storage, Internet applications, backup and disaster recovery. With differentiated competitive advantages such as unified storage, open compatibility, elastic expansion, flexible configuration, high performance, high reliability, automatic O&M, and easy management, ZTE's TECS CloveStorage is widely used in more than 320 NFV projects and government & enterprise projects in the world.

To date, in the contribution to the Ceph community, ZTE ranks second in the world and first in China. A number of ZTE's technical experts serve as the community's Core Members, and the individual contribution ranks second in the world and first in China.
