The Prime System Integration Service selects various qualified technologies based on the customer's requirements, integrating each separated sub-systems of different vendors into a reliable and effective integrity, and they can coordinate with each other for realizing overall benefits and optimal overall performance. Under integrated management of prime integrators with periodic project activities such as 'planning & design, integration verification, integration implementation, integration delivery', different vendors' products can be integrated into a set of complete, working and maintainable production system. The system can be delivered to the customers.

Major Function

  • Project start-up

    1. Make a project delivery plan: Make a detailed project plan and milestone based on the delivery requirement of the contract and communicate with each side completely.
    2. Create an organization architecture: Create an integration organization architecture, including a prime integrator team and different supplier teams, and define the responsibility and key role of each side.
  • Requirement investigation

    1. Engineering survey: Check mainly whether the cabinet space and location, DC or AC power information, equipment room power consumption, grounding, and equipment room environment meet the hardware technical requirements.
    2. Information collection: Communicate with each device vendor (including hardware, VIM, VNFs, MANO and etc.) first, write basic information of each product and dependency on other products based on the requirement investigation table template;
    3. Requirement analysis: Communicate with the operator investigating users' requirement and existing network; and organize system suppliers to investigate intra-layer interface requirements, including technical parameters, coordinate upper applications to adapt to lower requirements, and output integration investigation analysis reports;
    4. Requirement locking: Confirm the requirements with the operator and each device supplier and sign 2 contracts to lock the requirement.
  • Planning & design

    1. Integration planning & design: Output NFVI, MANO and VNF integration design documents.
    2. Test planning & design: Output NFVI, MANO and VNF test plan documents.
    3. Test case design: Comply with series of test specifications of the operator's network function virtualization, organize each device vendor to complete the writing of test plan and test cases based on specific device capabilities and service requirement of the project, guaranteeing all the functions/performance/security of the project to satisfy the customer's requirements;
    4. Acceptance item design: Output integration acceptance item documents.
    5. LLD design: The function is in charge of entire network planning of the system (including external network planning and internal network deployment requirement), organize each device vendor to complete the work such as networking topology, hardware entity information and version, software function description and relevant version, IP address network segment division, sub-system network planning, protocol selection, routing type, domain name setting, service parameter configuration, cabling plan and etc., and output LLD design plan finally.
  • Integration verification

    1. Pre-integration: Perform environment deployment and vertical integration in ZTE Openlab or the customer's Testbed, so as to guarantee the integration system quality effectively and to shorten the delivery time of the site;
    2. Integration test: Perform an integration test based on the integration test plan and test case, record the problems and output the report.
  • Hardware installation

    1. Installation environment check: Check the equipment room environment to ensure that the operating environment of the equipment meets the requirements. If it does not meet the requirements, rectify the problem to eliminate potential problems during installation and operation and maintenance.
    2. Unpacking inspection and acceptance: Arranges for hardware manufacturers to inspect goods in accordance with the equipment purchase contract, and outputs arrival acceptance certificates.
    3. Equipment installation: The engineer from the equipment manufacturer installs the equipment according to the hardware installation guide.
    4. Organize hardware acceptance: After the installation is completed, the integrator organizes the inspection and acceptance. If there is any serious quality problem, fill in the engineering quality rectification notice. Rectify the problem within a specified period until the acceptance is passed.
  • Debugging interconnection

    Perform software installation/configuration, debugging and software installation acceptance of the NFV integration environment, including:

    1. Each vendor performs software installation/configuration and self-checking based on HLD and LLD;
    2. The vendors perform debugging with each other;
    3. Check and confirm each vendor's installation result based on the Check List;
    4. Record the problems of software installation and the solution;
    5. Output the checking report of the software installation/configuration.
  • Acceptance test

    Perform integration acceptance based on the integration acceptance plan and acceptance cases, record the problems and output the report.

  • Transfer

    Perform acceptance after the integration is completed and the work transferred to the O&M team, including:

    1. Transfer the documents, including integration plan, LLD, network topology, implementation plan, and random documents.
    2. Acceptance report;
    3. Pending problem tracking record.
