The ZTE SDN data center network solution adopts the SDN technology, and integrates seamlessly with OpenStack and K8S to build a multi-tenant virtualized data center network through forwarding and control separation, centralized management and control, and open and programmable network architecture. Based on the Overlay architecture of SDN, the network is based on the ZENIC vDC controller. It supports the open source OVS, self-developed DVS virtual switch, iNIC and 5900(X) series switches as VTEP. It also supports the M6000-S series routers, 9900(X)/5900(X) series switches, VEG virtualization router and VEG NICs as the SDN gateway. Through external cooperation, it supports the automatic service distribution of mainstream software/hardware FW and LB in the industry. To meet different requirements for traffic, cost model and transformation/new construction, ZTE provides the network Overlay solution, host Overlay solution and hybrid Overlay solution to protect the customer's investment to the maximum extent. The automation of the security policies of built-in differential section security and multi-security domain mutual access supports the interconnection of multiple data centers and centralized control of remote miniaturized data centers, to provide customers with intelligent, open and secure cloud-based data center networks.
The high-performance VM switch function provided by DVS provides the network access capability for the virtualized server, and supports VLAN, VXLAN isolation technology, link aggregation, network attribute migration, QoS function, statistics and alarms. It supports plug-ins that comply with the OpenStack ML2 standard, complies with the OF1.3 standard, supports OVSDB, can be integrated with the ZTE TECS OpenStack cloud platform, and can be interconnected with the ZTE ZENIC vDC SDN controller. At the same time, the TECS DVS supports integration with the open source OpenStack. It can be used in private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid cloud scenarios, and can be used in government and enterprise, IT, and telecom NFV scenarios. In the scenario with high performance requirements, the DVS also supports the function of data plane sinking, and downloads the forwarding plane part to the smart NIC to improve the performance.
The SDN vGW is deployed on the cloud platform in the form of VM cluster, and provides L2 and L3 network forwarding functions. It can implement automatic lifecycle management on the ZTE TECS OpenStack cloud platform, support interconnection with the ZTE ZENIC vDC controller, and provide SDN gateway functions. The can be flexibly deployed on a third-party cloud platform. It provides standard interfaces to interconnect with third-party cloud platforms for lifecycle and O&M management, and provides standard interfaces to interconnect with third-party controllers. Because of its lightweight, it is mainly used in government&enterprise and IT scenarios.
Software load balancer SLB. VM clusters are deployed on the ZTE TECS OpenStack cloud platform to provide L4 and L7 load balancing services for VMs or container applications on the cloud platform. Supports flexible deployment mode. The layer-4 or layer-7 load balancing service is deployed independently or together. It supports multiple load balancing algorithms such as round robin, minimum number of connections, source ip hash, source ip and source port hash load. The user can select them flexibly according to the service requirements. Supports health check and session hold functions to ensure the performance and reliability of back-end services.
