ZTE AIR Core solution enhances connectivity value and reshapes business models

Time:2025-06-19

Shanghai, China, 19 June 2025 - ZTE Corporation(0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has unveiled the industry's first AI-Reshaping Core network solution, AIR Core, at MWC Shanghai 2025.

By deeply integrating cutting-edge AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs), communication large models, and digital twins, this solution propels the core network from a "Cloud Native" to an "AI Native" architecture. It provides operators with an intelligent and agile platform for service innovation, a dynamic experience assurance system, and an efficient autonomous O&M system, laying a solid intelligent foundation for the evolution of networks towards 6G.

The AIR Core innovatively constructs a three-tier AI agent collaborative architecture, breaking through the traditional core network capability boundaries:

Service Intelligence: The new calling agent integrates LLMs, text-to-speech (TTS), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to transform the traditional dialer into an "intent-driven interactive portal," redefining the human-machine interaction paradigm. Users can trigger AI-based anti-fraud interception and cross-language AI chat services through natural voice commands. Additionally, the plug-in open architecture integrates third-party ecosystems such as food delivery, business travel, and public welfare services, evolving the calling interface into a one-stop service aggregation entry point.

Connection Intelligence: Focusing on scenario-based experience operation, the service experience assurance agent is introduced. Featuring three key capabilities—NWDAF, AI-UPF, and communication large models, it achieves a full closed-loop process of accurate service identification, real-time package recommendation, dynamic network assurance, real-time experience perception, and autonomous network optimization. Leveraging a multi-dimensional KQI indicator model and MOS scoring system, it enables top-tier application experience to be perceptible and visible. This agent supports operators in building differentiated capability supply and scenario-based monetization. Currently, it has been commercially deployed in China for tiered and dynamic experience assurance, with an assurance accuracy rate of over 99.98%.

O&M Intelligence: The digital twin simulation agent, NetTwinGuard, based on high-precision digital twin simulation and multi-dimensional small model collaboration, identifies and prevents network risks or hidden dangers in advance, with a simulation accuracy rate of over 95%. It generates optimal defense strategies for five major typical scenarios, shifting the O&M model from post-event handling to pre-event prevention, and significantly enhancing network risk resistance and ultra-high availability.

The deep integration of AI technology and the core network is driving the renewal of communication infrastructure. ZTE's AIR Core solution not only achieves technological innovation and embodies the vision of an intelligent network but also accelerates the transformation of operators from "connectivity providers" to "intelligent service providers."

Moving forward, ZTE will continue to collaborate with global partners to explore the boundless possibilities of AI and communication network integration, propelling the industry towards a more intelligent and efficient future.
