Under the wave of digital transformation, global industries and lifestyles are undergoing profound changes, with new technological forces reshaping traditional economic and daily living patterns. Artificial intelligence (AI) and next-generation cloud computing are rapidly emerging as the core engines driving revolutions across multiple sectors. These technologies not only accelerate productivity growth and enhance social efficiency but also empower businesses with the agility to adapt to shifting market demands.
Both enterprises and individuals should actively embrace the opportunities brought by AI and cloud computing, securing advantageous positions in the new technological landscape to harness future growth potential. Mr. Wang Quan, Vice President of ZTE said: “Amid the accelerating wave of global digitalization, ZTE remains committed to its role as a "Driver of the Digital Economy”, fully embracing AI and making it one of its core strategies, accelerates its evolution from "all-connectivity" to "connectivity + computing power," and builds momentum for sustainable future e growth."
ZTE has strategically expanded its presence in computing power solutions. Within the computing power infrastructure sector, capitalizing on new opportunities brought by AI large models, the company has intensified R&D efforts in foundational intelligent computing products. It has launched a full-stack, full-scenario intelligent computing solution to empower digital-intelligent transformation across industries.
Mr. Wang Quan highlighted, “ZTE has rolled out high-performance training servers, cost-efficient inference servers, AI computing all-in-one appliances, general-purpose computing server series and high-performance file storage solutions. These offerings address diverse intelligent computing deployment needs from data centers to edge nodes, with proven applications across telecommunications, internet, and financial sectors. Simultaneously, ZTE is collaborating with industry partners to advance open standards for GPU high-speed interconnection, developing next-generation hyper-connected intelligent computing servers.”
ZTE's server and storage solutions have now been deployed across 105 countries and regions globally, with total shipments surpassing 300,000 units in 2024. The company has achieved remarkable 100% year-on-year growth in overseas market revenue. Significant bulk shipments have been recorded across emerging markets including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Algeria, while simultaneously gaining increasing market share in premium markets such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
Mr. Wang Quan also talked about the deep convergence of computing power with AI, cloud computing, and ICT infrastructure. The dual drivers of generative AI and large model applications are catalyzing a new growth cycle in cloud computing through technological innovation and corporate strategy realignment. GlobalData forecasts that the global cloud computing market will surpass the $1 trillion threshold by 2026.
“ZTE has maintained long-term strategic investments in cloud computing, developing comprehensive capabilities spanning computing, storage, networking, and cloud software. ZTE has earned widespread recognition in the telecommunications industry for its proven expertise in CT cloud solutions, while actively expanding our portfolio of IT cloud offerings.” Wang Quan emphasized.
Adhering to an open and decoupled ecosystem strategy, ZTE also collaborates with industry leaders including Alibaba Cloud and Virtuozzo to deliver full-stack solutions covering public cloud, private cloud, and cloud resale solutions. This commitment enables ZTE to provide customers with cutting-edge, cost-optimized and future-oriented cloud solutions.
Emerging markets—particularly Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa—represent the world's fastest-growing cloud computing territories, driving the next wave of digital infrastructure expansion. By fully leveraging ZTE's strengths in hardware and local services alongside Alibaba Cloud's cloud platform and ecosystem advantages, the jointly developed solutions have successfully expanded to multiple markets across the regions.
Organizations are increasingly adopting hybrid cloud strategies, where hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) integrates seamlessly with both public and private cloud platforms to enhance workload flexibility—that is accelerating HCI adoption across industries. At CloudFest 2025, ZTE and Virtuozzo announced their strategic partnership, introducing a Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solution that integrates ZTE’s high-performance server hardware with Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure and S3 Object Storage software. This collaboration aims to provide a cost-effective, highly efficient cloud infrastructure that is easy to deploy and manage, designed for alternative cloud service providers and enterprises worldwide.
Looking ahead, with the advancement of artificial intelligence, we are witnessing the comprehensive convergence of AI, cloud computing, and computing power. These technological forces are progressively interweaving into an interdependent, mutually reinforcing ecosystem that collectively forms the digital engine propelling the intelligent era forward.
In the coming years, organizations across all sectors seeking digital transformation will position artificial intelligence as their central driving force, Mr. Wang Quan stated, “The IT landscape in the AI era will undergo a fundamental transformation—evolving from the traditional paradigm of hardware, software, services, and cloud to a new framework comprising intelligent computing hardware, computing services, model services, and AI applications.”
ZTE is poised to harness the disruptive potential of artificial intelligence by doubling down on intelligent computing infrastructure, accelerating industry-wide digital and intelligent transformation in collaboration with industry partners.
