DNS Cache Solution Introduction

DNS cache solution can cache the DNS query results temporarily in PGW. When the user accesses the same domain again, it can get the information directly from the cache. This solution can reduce the times of accessing the internet DNS, and reduce the latency of DNS query. It also decreases the capacity requirements of firewall, thus saving the cost of buying firewall.

Taking the mobile phone to access the SINA homepage as an example, 18 DNS queries are required, and each query is reduced by 20ms. When DNS is not fully concurrent, the access delay can be reduced by tens to hundreds of ms, and the overall business delay is reduced by nearly 50 %, which greatly improves the user's service experience. At present, this solution has achieved large-scale commercial deployment globally.
